Vorab: Die Platte mit dem F sollte nur auf einen Korpus, der auch von F kommt, - und nicht etwa von einem fernöstlichen 29euro-Bausatz von epay. Wenn sich nämlich die Platte beim Festschrauben verbiegt, dann liegt's ganz sicher nicht an der Platte, sondern am Korpusholz zwischen Hals und Platte, das meist ein günstiger, jedoch weich-feuchter Schmarrn ist.
Diese Fender Halsplatte passt mit dem script-F stilistisch auf Fenders ab Bj '66 bis in die frühen 70er-Jahre (ohne Seriennummer, versteht sich), mit den üblichen Bohrloch-Abständen von 2 zoll mal 1, 5 zoll (=50, 9 x 38, 2mm) passt sie aber auch sonst auf den Großteil von Fender Instrumenten mit 4-Loch-Befestigung ab Baujahr 1952 bis in die Gegenwart. Bei wem die Platte von den Abmessungen her nicht passt, hat nicht die falsche Platte, sondern wohl doch eher die falsche Gitarre gekauft. Die Platte ist aus verchromtem Stahl und ist so wie seit je her 1/16zoll dick (1, 6mm). Allein von Fender gibt es derzeit mehr als ein Dtz unterschiedliche Halsplatten, diese hier entspricht material-technisch dem 50er-Jahre Original. Manche aktuelle Platten mögen dicker sein, dann sind diese aber oft aus verchromtem Messing, welches naturgemäß dicker sein muss, um die gleiche Steifigkeit wie Eisen zu haben. Man testet am Besten mit einem Magneten, was sich unter der Verchromung verbirgt. Leider sind es ausgerechnet Fender's Corona, California-Platten, (z.B. 099-1446-100) die zum Teil aus billigem und auch dünnerem Leichtmetall (verchromtes Alu) gemacht sind. Dies nur als Hinweis. Und die lustigste Blüte der freien Marktwirtschaft hat uns zu allem Überdruss auch noch eine made-in-China-Platte beschert, auf der rotzfrech Fender CORONA, CAUFORNIA steht. Inklusive Fender Spaghetti-Logo und trademark-Zeichen. Also aufpassen, lieber die paar Euro mehr investieren und diese hier besorgen.

Erschrekend dünnes Blech, passt nicht ohne weiteres auf Squire Strats. Beim festziehen der Schrauben hat sich das Blech sofort leicht gewölbt in der Mitte. Blechstärke der Squire ist deutlich dicker...mmmmmh ??? Zu tuer !!!
Ist natürlich ein tolles Stück Metall, aber man hat den Eindruck, es wurde Material gespart, wenn man die Schrauben richtig fest anzieht. Könnte echt n Tick dicker und stabiler sein. Aber funktioniert natürlich dennoch und sieht auch sehr nett aus.
