South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone will buy the inconic Lakewood restaurant on West Colfax Avenue for $3.1 million, court documents show.

In a dramatic twist worthy of one of Matt Stone and Trey Parker’s satirical cartoon “South Park, ” the head of a local Casa Bonita restaurant fan group and potential investors Monday filed an objection to the pair’s plan to buy the famous Lakewood restaurant.

Andrew Novick filed the objection in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court case of Summit Family Restaurants Inc., which has owned the 47-year-old landmark at 6715 W. Colfax Ave. for 25 years.

Novick is asking Judge Michael E. Romero to halt the sale to Parker and Stone, who offered to buy it for $3.1 million, court documents in the bankruptcy case show.

He leads the advocacy group Save Casa Bonita, which raised money with a GoFundMe campaign and bought some of the debt in the case. So it is part of the bankruptcy case.

The group is working with a Denver native investor who is willing to pay $400, 000 more than that current offer, court filings show.

“It is disheartening our group did not have a fair chance to negotiate for a purchase of the Debtor’s assets, ” according to Novick’s objection. “The sale motion states that the potential purchasers offer is in ‘good faith, ’ without fraud, collusion ‘or an attempt to take grossly unfair advantage of other bidders.’ We believe that this sale should not be allowed due to the association with the landlord in these activities.”

The objection states Summit Family Restaurants President Bob Wheaton had been negotiating with the group, but then suddenly stopped communications and in an email stated efforts were focused on reopening the restaurant, not selling it. The Stone and Parker announcement came two weeks later.

“The group that I am working with strongly believes that the currently proposed sale was not, in fact, an arms-length deal, and that the landlord pressured Mr. Wheaton to sell to a preferred buyer, instead of finalizing an agreement with our group or otherwise allowing a public opportunity to present competitive bids for the restaurant, Novick said.

The judge could approve the motion, deny it or possibly schedule a hearing, Novick said. We don't know how he's going to react to the objection.

Parker and Stone announced the deal in August during a sit-down interview with Gov. Jared Polis celebrating the 24th anniversary of the show.

Summit Family Restaurants has owned the colorful and expansive Casa Bonita for 25 years. It filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in Arizona in April after the COVID-19 pandemic caused shutdowns and crippled operations.

The restaurant was known for its roaming mariachis, cliff divers, Black Bart's Haunted Cave and tabletop flags customers raise to get more sopapillas.

The 52, 000-square-foot restaurant with notoriously mediocre food gained national and international attention after being featured in a 2003 episode of South Park. It closed in March 2020, but recently began offering tours and the gift shop and arcade were opened.

Get to the DLC Bus Stop, then select From Dusk till Casa Bonita. A bus will conveniently appear and take the New Kid away.

The bus will stop at the outer layer of the great La Casa Bonita, a notice will appear to note that costumes, recipes, epic artifacts, DNA got from the DLC will be available for all saved files. Then you will be stripped away from all your current combat buddies, who are not available in here.

Before heading down the path to the eatery, proceed to punch the mail boxes by the very left for some scrap items, afterwards make your way through down the path. Upon reaching the restaurant's front yard, you will then hear and see a family walking away from the restaurant, gladly commenting the excellence of it. A cut scene will ensue, whereby Mysterion informs the New Kid that his sister Karen is kidnapped by Vampires, and that he needs to rescue her from their grasp. With no expression on the New Kid's face as usual, Mysterion take it as a yes, and decides to train the New Kid for their abilities to fight the enemies. Conveniently, a car stops by and down comes three Vampire kids, and Mysterion decides to let the New Kid take on them.

The battle is quite tough if your difficulty is high, Vampires have a medic and two swarmers on their side. The swarmers have astonishingly powerful attacks, greater than anyone else. You, however, have Mysterion’s assistance outside the battle, he will channel his powers to bring you all new abilities: the power of the Netherborn.

You will be forced to use your second ability, Ghastly Grasp for the first turn, later, Mysterion will ask you to try out the first and third ability, you can do otherwise of course.

It is best to focus on the Medic, as the others can be easily healed by him, eventually, defeat all the Vampires.

After you defeat them, Mysterion will consider you to be ready, and ask you to go in with him. He will also be set as a fixed combat buddy for this mission.

The Netherborn class and its correspondening Heckraiser Costume set will now be available for all saved files; if you haven't unlock all classes yet, talk to the Coon in the Coon Lair to acquire them.

Once inside Casa Bonita, Mysterion will scout for Karen, and you would have to figure out a way in. Make your way in, and you will see Mysterion perching atop on one of the benches. Loot the pouch next to it, then approach him to initiate a cut scene, where Mysterion will look around and comment that the people at dinner doesn’t realize the coming of vampires, he then sees vampires on the left. The second way is by minor robbery: knock the ticket off from the host's hands with Snap N Pops, and use Timefart Pause to collect the ticket before he picks it up again. It should be noted that the ticket can't be acquired without the required Timefart ability.
