Die Yamaha ist sehr schön verarbeitet und sieht mit ihrem seidenmatten Finish wirklich sehr edel aus. Der Hals ist an wenigen kleinen Stellen nicht so 100% glatt poliert, was mich persönlich aber überhaupt nicht stört.
Ärgerlicher war da schon die Werkseinstellung, was für eine Saitenlage! Also ab zu meinem Gitarrenbauer und nachdem er Sattel, Brücke und Halskrümmung optimiert hatte spielt sie sich absolut grandios. Leicht wie eine Elektrische.
Der Klang, stufenlos regelbar zwischen Piezo und Yamahas gesampelter Meistergitarre ist sehr beeindruckend! Dank regelbarer Höhen und Tiefen, 2 stufenlos veränderbaren Hallräumen und einem Chorus sind sehr flexible Klänge möglich und das alles !! völlig rauschfrei !!

Der mitgelieferte InEar Kopfhörer ist zwar nicht überwältigend, aber durchaus praktikabel. Er passt natürlich von der Impedanz her sehr gut. Darauf ist auch dringend zu achten wenn man sich etwas Besseres zulegen möchte (10 Ohm)

Mit dem mitgelieferten Kopfhörer klingt das Teil etwas dumpf (bei 100% Modeling). Ein Kopfhörer, der zum Musikhören einen sehr guten Klang liefert, klingt am Köpfhörerausgang unbrauchbar. Evtl. eine Frage der Impedanz. Zum Glück habe ich doch etwas Passendes gefunden, damit ist der Klang recht brauchbar, kommt aber an eine richtige Westerngitarre lange nicht ran. Mit Hall oder Chorus wird der Klang etwas aufgehübscht und bekommt Raum. Das Modeling selber scheint Mono zu sein. Mit Effekt hört sich das dann aber angenehm an. Die Saitenlage dürfte für die meisten Gitarristen viel zu hoch sein (0, 75 mm am 1. Bund und 2, 65 mm am 12. Bund). Daher bin ich nicht so begeistert. 1, 7-2, 2 mm am 12. Bd. wäre für mich komfortabel. Bei 650? noch an Sattel und Steg nacharbeiten? Die Enden der Bundstäbchen sind auch nicht gerade abgerundet und sind so an der Grenze des Scharfkantigen. Eher so wie bei einer Billiggitarre. Die Bundstäbchen selber sind aber an der Oberfläche sauber verarbeitet und das Holz des Griffbretts hochwertig. Ich überlege noch, ob ich das Teil zurücksende. Leider gibt es kaum Alternativen ! Eine Version von Harley Benton wäre sicherlich gut machbar und würde sicherlich nur die Hälte kosten.

Nachtrag: Die Gitarre geht jetzt doch zurück. Eine E-Gitarre mit einem Zoom AC-3 bringt für mich den besseren Sound und ist vielseitiger und billiger.
Man kann den Sound direkt über den Tonabnehmer abnehmen oder die Simulation einer High-End-Yamaha Gitarre - Info von der Homepage - einstellen, die aus meiner Sicht sehr gut klingt.
Schön ist auch, dass man dazwischen mixen kann, wie man es mag bzw. für bestimmte Stücke anpassen möchte. Ich nutze sie zum Üben, da ich gerne abends noch spiele und dafür ist sie ideal. Kophöreranschluss ist logisch und man kann auch noch über Aux was anschließen, wenn man etwas exakt nachspielen möchte.

Die Verarbeitung ist gut, dem Preis auf jeden Fall angemessen. Die Effekte sind sinnvoll und man kann ohne Amp direkt über die Gitarre schön damit herum spielen.
Der Look ist Geschmacksache, ich wüsste aber nicht, wie ich sie noch schöner gestalten sollte. Leider ist nur ein Bügel abnehmbar, aber dennoch kein Vergleich zum Transport einer normalen Gitarre. Die würde wohl auch in der Bahn/Bus keine Probleme mit den Mitreisenden machen.
Die Silent Guitar biete, wenn man die APX-Serie kennt, ein recht vertrautes Spielgefühl, ist ähnlich gut bespielbar. Das Tonabnehmersystem leistet gute Dienste, klingt trotz gleicher Technik aber nicht ganz so gut wie meine 1200er APX. dafür sind die eingebauten Effekte sowohl am Akustik-Amp als auch über den Kopfhörerausgang sehr gut
