The Johnson Las Vegas JH 440 S archtop guitar is beautiful in tone & appearance. This guitar is carefully built from bookmatched flamed maple for the top, back, and sides. The bookmatched striping of the maple gives the guitar wonderful symmetry in tone and appearance. The maple's thick grain and strong, solid body give our Las Vegas hollowbody a saturating sound and rich look. High-quality EMG pickups for a deep and buttery sound. The gold trapeze tailpiece and rosewood bridge aid in providing excellent intonation and slinky action.
I believe they are not making them anymore but there are still a few like new ones out there. I have been playing guitar for over forty years, own Gibson's, Fenders, etc. I can say for this price, this is an awesome instrument. It plays, feels and sounds far better than most hollow body guitars.
