Mark your calendars! The sixth Annual Cars and Guitars Classic Car Show and Fundraiser, hosted by East to West Classic Cars, is set for Sunday, April 24. The car show and concert is a free, family-friendly event featuring over 700 cars of all varieties, live music by Walter Finley and special guests, a BBQ food truck, raffle prizes and more.

The East Northport Chamber of Commerce will be hosting a booth at this year’s event, confirmed Loriann Pineo, executive director of the Chamber and a neighbor to Mr. Nichol. “Dean is a civic-minded member of the community and the unofficial mayor of East Northport. Always there to lend a helping hand. If he can’t get it done for you, he knows somebody who can, ” she said.
The goal of Cars and Guitars is to raise awareness for PTSD and funds for Hope For The Warriors, a national nonprofit that provides comprehensive services that support the well-being of post-9/11 veterans and active-duty military families and caregivers, as well as families of the fallen.
“Each year, we’re blown away with the support of the East to West Classic Cars, its volunteers and the entire Long Island community, ” said Robin Kelleher, co-founder and CEO of Hope For The Warriors. Last year’s event was larger than ever, and we’re excited to see everyone again this year.”
Cars And Guitars Car Show To Return After One Year Hiatus
This year’s Cars and Guitars Classic Car Show and Fundraiser will take place outside Miller’s Ale House at 88 Veterans Memorial Highway in Commack. The event runs from 11am to 4pm, is rain or shine with a $15 registration fee for cars, which can be made the day of the event. The first 100 entries receive a gift bag.SEYMOUR – The 17th annual Cars and Guitars car show and the free concert are Saturday in downtown Seymour from 1 p.m. until 8 p.m.
The car show typically draws around 200 vehicles of various makes and models. So far more than 150 people already have preregistered for this year’s show.

While no awards are given during this show, the $20 registration fee includes a T-shirt and a chance to win door prizes, and the first 250 vehicles will receive a dash plaque. All makes and models are welcome. T-shirts will also be available for purchase for $15.

On Saturday, starting at 11 a.m. the following downtown streets will be closed to parking and traffic until 8:30 p.m. Chestnut Street from US 50 to Third Street., West Second Street from Pine Street to Indianapolis Avenue, Third Street from Walnut to Chestnut streets, St. Louis Avenue from Walnut Street to Indianapolis Ave. and West Second Street from Pine Street to Walnut Street beginning at 10 a.m.

There will be lots of door prizes including A Stroll Through Seymour with a value of $500. It features gift certificates from downtown businesses, including $100 from Vat and Barrel and $100 from Rails Craft Brew and Eatery, a set of tires from Seymour Tire and Service valued at $400, bicycles from Guardian Bikes, and more.
Cars And Guitars: Hendrick, Bonamassa Join Evernham On 'americarna'
The shirts and a silent auction will be located at Second and Chestnut streets, and that’s also where people will pick up door prizes.
Elvis tribute artist Tyler Christopher will perform at the event. The concert is from 6 to 8 p.m. on a stage set up on South Chestnut Street near JCBank. People are invited to bring their lawn chairs. In the event of bad weather, the Elvis tribute concert will be held at the Knights of Columbus.
Proceeds from Cars and Guitars are used to purchase handicap-accessible playground equipment for Seymour parks. Since the event’s inception, more than $90, 000 has been raised to buy equipment. The group hopes to raise $11, 00 money to purchase a child and adult wheelchair-accessible merry-go-round.
