I initially was after a vintage 1 OM-SR and even placed an order on one with Bill at the Fretted Buffalo, but then last minute changed my mind and decided to go with the Green G-SR.

I want to give a huge shout out to Bill at the Fretted Buffalo for being so helpful and understanding despite me being a difficult customer. Out of all of the dealers I contacted to track down this guitar, Bill was by far the most Helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. He also has a really great inventory and his prices are really awesome for forum members!

Now as far as the actual guitar goes, it is absolutely fantastic. I initially purchased a Taylor 312 and was unfortunately not impressed by the sound, so I decided to return it. After lots of research I decide to go with a Furch instead. The Green G-SR I received is a huge step up from the Taylor in my opinion. It is so much louder, and fuller with a ton of sustain. Now Im sure that some of this is due to the larger body size than the 312, but it is also noticeable more responsive and extremely clear with fantastic note separation. The Green G-SR also comes with solid Indian Rosewood back and sides as opposed to the solid sapele on the Taylor, which I think is definitely a step up in both looks and sound. These two guitars are also right around the same price which makes the Furch a HUGE value in my opinion. Fit and finish on the Furch is great as it is basically flawless. The only flaws I can find is the ivoroid binding has some yellow spots but other than that it is perfect. The setup is basically flawless other than the neck, which did have a slight backbow, but it was easily fixed with a truss rod adjustment.

I am in love with the piece of Rosewood on this guitar. It has such a pretty red stripe in the middle with some purple around it.

Also, side note- I cannot figure out how to change my signature! Ive done it before but cant seem to figure it out again!

Amazing grain on the top. I am a Furch fan but they dont make my nut size, otherwise I would have ordered one. Bill was very understanding and helpful as you say.

Oh that’s unfortunate! The nut width on mine is a little wider than I’m use to, but it’s what I wanted. Im use to a 1 11/16 on a Taylor as well as a 1 3/4 on a martin but the width in the furch feels even thicker than the Martin. I don’t mind it though, I just have to get use to it. I would have thought that one of their three options would suit pretty much anyone but I know that even a little bit of a difference can feel like a lot.
