This is a handmade two-piece superior alder RD Artist style guitar body, cut to fit Fender American spec parts and neck with a Stratocaster style heel (25.5 scale). It features a dual humbucker pickup configuration with room for a volume and tone control with switch mounted in a Tele style control plate. It is drilled for a string-through configuration with mounting holes for any Fender American spec hardtail half-tray bridge.
This body features a white/red stripes over black distressed finish. The body has had a very light layer of clear poly applied, but may have spots of slightly exposed wood due to sanding. This is intentional, as the age, dirt, and wear are what is intended to go along with the rough appearance. Sale is for body only. I am leaving the string ferrules in the body, so those will come with it. Any hardware pictured is for the visual only, no hardware or electronics is included in this sale.
This is a used piece from my personal collection. Therefore, it will have nicks, dents, and various battle scars. This one’s in pretty good shape, but please check the pictures closely – all sales are final. CONUS only, please.

I make guitar bodies for those of us who cannot seem to find the right specs in any off-the-shelf guitar. I enjoy building my own personal partscasters, and playing guitars that are a bit different from the norm while retaining some familiarity. These bodies are intended to be the starting point for a custom guitar that won't put a custom shop beatdown on your wallet or make you want to punt the dog once it gets the inevitable nicks and dents. It's intended to be assembled as an affordable custom that only gains mojo as it's beaten up from normal use. Remember: in the guitar world, slight damage equals solid evidence of the true love of an often played and cherished instrument.
Partscasters are also incredibly fun to assemble. That being said: please be advised that you must have some tools, mechanical ability, and working knowledge to assemble an electric guitar properly. Please note that while I cut and drill for specs that are common so parts are easily found, not all parts will fit readily. There will be need for some work to get the parts together well. I recommend that any first timers watch a few tutorial videos on building partscasters to get an idea of what can be expected. I dry build all bodies before listing them for sale to ensure compatibility, but not all parts fit the same.
