This beautiful guitar is in great shape and has been professionally setup for playing pleasure. No cracks and the woods have mellowed over the years to give you a beautiful lushness to the finish that only time can bring.

Returning to their foundation of originality, Ibanez guitar manufacturers produced the Ragtime Special in 1981 to showcase both style and function. Intricate details adorn the spruce and mahogany body, while the 24-fret neck allows players to reach the higher notes characteristic of ragtime music. The guitar's smaller body size makes the instrument a breeze to handle while still producing brilliant sound.

This cool guitar is completely original with the only exception being the Truss Rod Cover. It was missing when I got it. I added a replacement Truss rod cover that looks just like the originals. I was lucky to find one. I had to fill the original screw holes and redrilled for the new ones. It looks like it belongs on this cool guitar. This cool guitar has a full 4 inch deep body, a 25.5 scale neck and the nut is 1 3/4 inch wide. You finger pickers will like this one..
The back is arched so you get a lot of sound from this guitar. I really like the Maccaferri Look Sound Hole. Very distinctive and beautiful with the Rosewood surrounds. I have never seen one of these and was very happy to acquire this one for my customers. It’s a great guitar.
