I fthechannelslippingwas flipping through the movie channels we subscribe to (basically all of them) and came across Animal House on HBO Comedy. It was the toga, toga, TOGA, TOGA party scene.
Specifically, John Belushi’s character is walking down the steps of the frat house and comes across a folk a folk singer playing a guitar. The song has lyrics about chickens with no bones and cherries with no stones.
Belushi’s facial responses to the folk singer are classic Belushi! He’s raising his eyebrows up and down like he’s trying to contemplate the songs lyrics.

I'm a guy who's grown up watching the technology explosion and expansion his whole life. I was there when the home gaming console was invented, I had Intellivision & Colecovision, and an Atari 2600. I was there when personal computers became a thing with my Commodore 64, and we used audio cassettes as hard drives and dot matrix printers ruled. I was there for the birth of cable television, and televisions going from 4:3 to 16:9 aspect ratios. I saw cameras and photography go from analog to digital, just like I watched music, movies, and everything else go digital. I lived in a world without Google and Amazon. I've watched mobile phones go from brief-case sized and mounted into cars. I've seen monochromatic screens change to color, and from non capacitive to full on touch screens. I've watched the rise of social media as well. I've seen at lot of stuff over my lifetime, so I have some insight into where tech has been that helps me better understand where tech is going. I’ve lived a life full of watching the technology around me grow and expand. I was there for the inception of home video games, personel computers, and television going from analog to digital. My points of reference include a world without the internet existing, nevermind Google, Amazon, and Facebook. I’ve watched music go from records to 8 track, to cassette, to CD, and now digital downloads. Movies went from theater experiences to VHS/Betamax, then to DVD, Blueray, and now Video on Demand.
Basically I’ve seen our entire analog world digitized into 0’s and 1’s as I’ve gotten older. My perspective on modern tech/tech trends is based on my past watching these things happen all around me. Check out what I have to think and say; you might just enjoy yourself.
